Are you seeing the signs?

The day after my 31st birthday, my sisters, my grandmother, my mother and I went to the beach in the afternoon "a girls trip", and we had an excellent experience.

When we were leaving the beach walking on the mesh that they put up so that people can pass and move more easily, I saw this sign almost at the exit, and it caught my attention; it was the emergency lane sign.

But what caught my attention the most was the calm heron basking in the sun on top of the sign.

My first reaction to the scene was to take a photo of him and upload it to my IG story, with the caption "life mood." I laughed and posted it, I thought it was kind of funny.

What is interesting about this story is the following; the sign remained captured in my head and with it also the heron posing on it, and you will say, What is extraordinary about the heron on top of the sign? Well, several things and I will list them for you;

  1. It is supposed to be an "emergency lane", no one should be passing by, and if they do, they should not block the way.

  2. Everyone who goes to a beach in the United States ignores this signs, (I say the United States, for everyone who reads me that does not live in this country), in my country the beaches do not have these meshes, in short, it is supposed to be an "emergency lane", it is not for people to be passing all the time.

  3. The heron is there, planted (unbothered) perhaps playing the same role as us by ignoring the sign, everyone reads it, but nobody pays attention to it, or perhaps, everyone sees it, but nobody reads it.

  4. Nobody wants to go through the hot sand, which is heavy and more difficult to cross, everyone wants the easy and the comfortable, like the mesh.

In conclusion, many of us walk through life like this, (unbothered), we see the signs, and we do not pay attention to them, we listen to the message, and we do not practice it, we read the scriptures, but we do nothing with what we read.

Many of us see the "red flags" of God in our lives, saying; do not go there, it will go wrong, do not say such a thing, do not do such a thing, be careful with so and so, stay away from that person, and we ignore it, and just like the sign next to the mesh on the beach, that many see it, but don't stop to read it or ignore it, we do with the voice of God, and then we go around crying and complaining saying that God does not speak to us.

It is not that God does not speak to us, what happens is that many times, what He speaks to us is not what we want to hear.

“1 (2) My God, my enemies are many; there are many who attack me, 2 (3) there are many who tell me that you are not going to save me. 3 (4) Only you, my God, protect me like a shield; and with your power you give me new life. 4 (5) I cry out to you, and from your temple you answer me. 5 (6) I lie down, and I fall asleep, and I wake up again, because you watch over my sleep. 6 (7) I am not scared by the many enemies who have me cornered. 7 (8) My God, get up and save me! Break the faces of my enemies! Break the teeth of the wicked! 8 (9) My God, only you can save me; Bless your people! "

Psalms 3: 1-8 NLT

Here we can see David praying to God and confirming that He indeed response to his prayers, because He (The Lord) is there, but are your ears willing to hear His voice and what He has to say? Are you willing to obey to His commands? It is you, asking for a response, Do you really want to hear His answer? Or is it just protocol and you have already made your decision?
