Be free (Part 2)
LOVE IS THE SIGN
In a preaching by Pastor Elvis Sahad, he said that the way to identify a child of God was through love, since a child of God loves even those he is not supposed to love.
The only way that a human being can be prepared and able to do all kinds of good, is through salvation through Christ Jesus, it is as if a new identity and a new behavior were impregnated in our DNA when we receive salvation . A love that does not come from us, but rather the heavenly Father is the one who deposits that love in us to give to others.
In Luke 6:45 DHH94PC says; “The good man says good things because good is in his heart, and the bad man says bad things because evil is in his heart. For out of what abounds in his heart his mouth speaks."
Only one who is saved and redeemed by God, and who knows the sacrifice of Jesus for us, can truly understand how much we need Christ, even to give simple value to our lives, is that as children of God we can understand that the goal it is to please Him, we cannot live in that constant struggle with a person who is supposed to be “Save” just like us, therefore we have the same goal and we are going to the same place.
ONE GOAL
Can you imagine how uncomfortable it would be to be the enemy or not talk to a person because he did such a thing? And then? when we have to leave with the Lord, what?, last part of our earthly life without speaking to that person, and then have to share an eternity together? Do you think that God himself would allow such a thing, or would agree to such a dispute? Moreover, this is so serious that in the same word it says that if you do not forgive others you will not be forgiven either, it is that if you do not have the innate nature of not having disputes with your brothers but rather of maintaining them, of whom Do you think it will be that nature, of God? Absolutely not.
In Matthew 6:14 DHH94PC says; “For if you forgive others for the wrong they have done to you, your Father who is in heaven will forgive you also; but if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your sins.”
Forgiveness is only achieved through the love that Christ deposited in us through his salvation, he who is not willing to forgive, does not know God's forgiveness, therefore he cannot call himself a son of God, and if he does not he is a son of God, then he does not have his salvation either.
Where is the true love between brothers? Where is the fulfillment of the word where he says "love your neighbor as yourself"? So that brother who offended you is not your neighbor? He can't be forgiven for you? So much so that we Christians talk about loving our neighbor, and we forget that our neighbor is also the brother of the Church, who fails and makes mistakes, it is not just the one who is right with us or who has not converted to Christ.
It is also that teammate who spoke ill of you, it is that leader who offended you or who did not take you into account, it is that servant who did not honor you as he should and betrayed the trust placed, it is that brother who left the Church because of a disagreement with you and he came out speaking ill of you because he was hurt, it is that servant who sings better than you and gets all the attention, it is that brother who has a ministry similar to yours and is doing better than you, and not it is to forgive or say "I have nothing against so-and-so" and then every time you have the opportunity, bone him by bringing out every defect of that person, it is in love even if they do not get along, always honor, cover and love that brother despite to the inconvenience they have, without folds.
AIR OF SUPERIORITY
The title of this post is "Be free" remember? Being free from sin and its ties, and one of those ties is the lack of forgiveness, that will not let you move forward and will destroy you inside.
Many of us live as slaves to hate, quarrel and envy, because success that is not ours eats away at us, we are fine with our brother until that brother goes further than us, then then my brother's happiness is not the mine, but rather it becomes a reason for quarrel and bad comments, why? Same thing when listening to gossip, you end up at odds with someone because of something so-and-so said, but did you stop to think if it was true? Did you confront that brother before taking for granted the words of the one who told you the gossip? Did you start to think about the intention of the heart of the one who was to speak ill of his neighbor? and even if what he said was true, who are you not to forgive his offense, if you have been forgiven everything and perhaps even worse things.
“I don't want to say that he has already achieved everything, nor that he is already perfect; but I go forward hoping to reach it, since Christ Jesus reached me first. Brethren, I am not saying that I have already attained it myself; what I do do is forget about what is behind and strive to reach what is ahead, to reach the goal and win the heavenly prize that God calls us to receive through Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 3:12-14 DHH94PC
Sometimes we forget that we have been redeemed, and that we are not perfect, and that we are all forgiven of our trespasses and sins. Do you remember in the first part of this blog, when I told you that people no longer know how to differentiate between what is morally correct or what is not “so obviously” correct? Well this is also the same.
WE ARE THE BODY
We get tired of reading the bible, of listening to preaching, but what about the verse "and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free"? Well, I come before you with another truth that many of us forget, and instead of being liberated what we do is that we become more slaves. I will come back and repeat this one more time; If you do not treat your brother, you too will not be forgiven."
In 1 Corinthians 11:27-30 DHH94PC says; “So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner commits a sin against the body and blood of the Lord. Therefore, each one should examine his own conscience before eating the bread and drinking the cup. Because if he eats and drinks without paying attention to what it is about the body of the Lord, to his own punishment he eats and drinks”.
I will go further with this verse, which refers to the Lord's supper, drinking of the wine and eating of the bread, and I will say this this; who are we the body of Christ? We, his church, are the body of which Christ is the head.
In Romans 12:5 DHH94PC says; “So we also, although we are many, form one body in Christ and are united one to another as members of one body.”
Let's go back for a moment to the Corinthians verse again in the part that says "for if he eats and drinks without realizing that it is the body of the Lord, to his own punishment he eats and drinks" in other words, if you are only looking for the benefits of the kingdom without caring about the rest of your brothers, or are you just looking to fill your stomach with food that will later go to the toilet, then you will be doing it to your own perdition, we must examine our conscience before having communion with our brothers in faith, before serving in the church, in other versions it says; "If he eats and drinks without giving it due importance."
GO BACK TO THE BEGINNING
How many people have I met in the course of my years as a Christian who are only looking for the manna and not the God of the manna, people who stay in the churches for the offerings they are given in each service, or because they are paid a salary, people who have been in the same position in the churches for years and that their lack of excellence is already noticeable when it comes to serving, since they no longer do it for God, they are only eating the bread and drinking the wine, some do not even go churches to serve if they don't give them x amount, and I understand the point that some live on their gifts and talents, and even more so some who have studied to know what they know, but there is a very fine line between vocation and interest, and we must be careful and know how to differentiate it, without letting ourselves be deceived.
In apocalypses 2:3-5 NIV it says; “You have persevered and suffered for my name, without being discouraged. However, I have against you that you have abandoned your first love, Remember where you have fallen from! Repent and go back to practicing the deeds you did in the beginning. If you do not repent, I will go and remove your lampstand from its place.”
In the TLA version it says; “You no longer love me as much as you loved me when you became a Christian”, “Behave as you did at the beginning”.
In the English version AMP, amplified bible (amplified bible) says; "I will visit you and remove your lamp (The church, its impact) from its place, unless you repent." In other words, he will remove you from the place of service, and give it to someone who does have fervor and love for God and who has not lost his first love. Many of us believe that we are essential for the work of God to be carried out, or for the ministry to continue, or for certain tasks to be carried out within the Church, but I have to tell you that the only essential is The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit.
EXHORTATION
Let's free ourselves from that superhero mentality, let's free ourselves from arrogance, pride, arrogance, lack of forgiveness, selflessness, envy, quarrel. Let us return to the first love, and let us be preachers and doers of the truth, let us preach with our actions that speak louder than our words, let us be an example of what it is to be a true Christian, and let us leave behind the works of the flesh, let our nature be the of Christ and not of the world.
“If anyone has ears, let him pay attention to what the Spirit of God says to the churches. To those who triumph over difficulties and do not stop trusting me, I will give them to eat the fruit of the tree that gives life. That tree grows in the beautiful garden of God.” Revelation 2:7 NIV
